Led by Dr. William Barry, Emerging Technology Ethicist and TEDx Speaker. Co-hosted by Paradox Lab founder, Dr. Iris Oved.

In this one-session online discussion class, students will have an opportunity to chat with one of the most advanced humanoid AI conversational robots, MariaBot. Dr. William Barry teaches about the ethics of emerging technologies to children and adults, and MariaBot is his assistant. She is also the co-author of Dr. Barry’s children’s book on robot ethics, Robot Ranger. After reading the book together, students will have the opportunity to ask Dr. Barry and MariaBot questions about how she works. In the final 20 minutes we will use the Inquiry Diagram shown to explore the question: Can a human and a robot form a creative team?
