Adventuring with Harold: Dreams, Reality, & Imagination

Meets on Zoom. Saturday, October 3rd, 11:00-11:45am Pacific Time (2pm Eastern).
Led by Darcy McCusker, a graduate student in Philosophy at the University of Washington and fellow at the Center for the Philosophy for Children. Co-hosted by Paradox Lab founder, Dr. Iris Oved.
This is a 45-minute discussion class in which the facilitator will read Harold and The Purple Crayon, by Crockett Johnson. Students will then be prompted to discuss questions such as: Where is Harold? Is he dreaming? Why is his crayon purple? Why is he scared when he’s in the water if he can just draw a boat Is his world ‘real’? Is our world real? At the end students will have a moment to reflect and come up with questions of their own and discuss them.

****Note: For this class to work, we must have at minimum 3 students enrolled. If this minimum is not reached by 48 hours prior to the first session, we will cancel and issue a full refund.
